Mothers Day Cards

Safe to say that I love my new stamps and die by Chloe just had to use them for my Mum and Mother in Law 's Mothers day cards.

Special Card

My Gran celebrated a very special milestone birthday in November, the birthstone for November is Topaz so I tried to pick a colour scheme that reminded me of the brown topaz stones.

This years cards were quick and simple easily batch made cards using magazine freebies, card making has taken a back seat to crochet so it was nice to get in the craft room and have a play

First craft makes of 2015

Found a fab easy to follow tutorial for making T-Light boxes on http://debsdotsdashes.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/tealight-box-tutorial.html They only take a few minutes but look so pretty will be making quite a few of them, great way to use up left over paper from cardmaking and they will be a simple little gift as well

Some quick cards made with my new favourite stamp, simply embossed in copper and using Kraft card, quick and easy to make.

Also made on the big scoreboard but can be made on smaller boards as the boxes are only about 3 or 4 inches in size

More Big Scoreboard Fun

Two bottle boxes made on the Crafters Companion big scoreboard, the larger box holds an average wine bottle , the smaller one which I made by halving the measurements holds a 50ml size perfume bottle, it is a tall slender bottle though lol, easy to make and perfect for Christmas or Birthday gifts.

New Tool

During the Crafters Companion Birthday week I was so tempted by their 'Big Scoreboard' I just had to order it plus some A3 cardstock, all I can say is wow what fun, this is the first project I made from it the DVDrom with the board has both video and written instructions so nice and easy to follow. I used some of my gorgeous My Minds Eye papers to cover it , my favourite Rose die and the bird is from Tim Holtz, all in all it took one piece of A3 and two pieces of A4 to make the folder will be making more, have already made a couple of boxes plus halfway through an advent box, just need to decorate them.

Upcycling

Not had much time for craft at the moment, I have been upcycling some old furniture,first finished item is n old pine table, for chairs to follow including recovering them with some gorgeous fabric and then a lovely dresser, it is fun but the prep work takes so long did manage a little craft item though :)

This was fun to make, my bead work is getting a bit better and this Tim Holtz die is lovely to work with.

Box Frame

Would you believe this was a photo frame from Poundland? quick coat of paint and some dies turned it into a fun little box picture.

Spitfire

The idea for this card came to me while watching the BBC's coverage of the D-Day rememberance services on Friday, I had bought the stamp a few years ago to make a birthday card for my Grandfather who served in the RAF during the war.
